Radio Shuttle Racking (also known as Pallet Shuttle) is a semi-automated, high-density storage solution. Shuttle car transport pallets into the deep lanes of the rack, eliminating the need for forklifts to enter the structure.
Key Benefits
- A high-density product storage solution, maximizing warehouse space.
- Popular in Food, Beverage, Chemical, Tobacco, Cooking Oil industries, especially in Cold Warehouses.
- Forklifts operated in front of the racking for inbound and outbound; The forklift carry the shuttle to different levels or different lanes.
- Both FILO and FIFO available, First In Last Out or First In First Out.
- High Storage Capacity.High throughput.Stable racking structure.

Considerations
- Maintenance: Involves battery management and periodic servicing of the electronic components.
- Pallet Standardization: Requires high-quality pallets with consistent bottom boards so the shuttle can lift and move them smoothly.
How It Works
- The Robot: A forklift places the shuttle cart into the desired lane.
- Remote Control: The operator places a pallet on the shuttle and uses a remote to send the robot deep into the rack to deposit the load.
- Retrieval: The shuttle travels to the back, picks up the required pallet, and brings it to the front for the forklift to collect.
Ideal For
- High-Volume SKUs: Companies with massive quantities of the same product.
- Fast-Paced Operations: Where loading and unloading speed is critical.
- Cold Storage: Perfect for freezers (shuttles can work down to -30°C), reducing the time workers and forklifts need to spend in sub-zero temperatures.
